PS2-compatible steering wheel on PS3?

Hello,

My son has the Bigben Speed Force 3 steering wheel with pedals on the PS2. Can this steering wheel also be connected to PS3 (since it’s his Christmas gift) or does it require a different steering wheel?

    and there are both: the connection for the PS2 and the connection with a cable that has a USB port because you can also play on PC with this wheel. Is that enough to connect it to a PS3?

    I just did a search online about the steering wheel in question. It would seem that the USB output is ONLY for PCs. The model is shown as compatible ONLY on the PS2 console. It will not work on a PS3, that’s basically a certainty.

    Now, if you just bought it, I propose an alternative: Get a refund for this wheel by stating that you were mistaken; 9 times out of 10 they’ll take it back without too much hassle and opt for the Logitech DRIVING FORCE GT wheel instead. It runs around €120/€130 new and around €77 used on AMAZON, and in terms of pleasure and robustness, there’s no better Logitech accessory.

    It actually depends on the wheel’s connector: if it is PS3-compatible, it should normally have a USB connector. Indeed, the PS2 and PS3 connectors are completely different and not compatible…
