A friend of one of my friends lent me his Adobe Audition 1.5 software to record a conversation that I want to do from a cassette that I connected as I was told...

My problem (another one, hehe) is how do I record?
I've been looking for an hour and it's not working!
I need your help, please.

Il suffit de sélectionner le bouton rouge qui se trouve pour chaque piste puis appuyer sur enregistré.

Just for info, Adobe Audition is a professional software and therefore it needs to be configured. Audacity is designed for the average user (easy to set up). Here, you just need to order the devices and in Recording and Editing select the right sound card and click on VE (editing view).
I know that the post I just replied to is already old, but I regularly see this question, so for once I thought it would be good to clarify things.

Hello,

In my opinion, it's a matter of settings. Small speaker on the lower right, right-click mouse, open volume control, go to options in the upper left, properties and check recording, and make sure line-in is checked only, then okay, and in the volume panel at the bottom, check selected, it should work. Hi, I see you didn't mention selecting a track before hitting the record button.
Good luck.
My problem is that I use Adobe like I drink water lol, but now I can't record anymore and I get a message saying that a device number outside of my system's range has been used.
