Change the name of a USB port

Bonjour,
I would like to know how to change the name of a USB port (from USB001 to USB002 for example) in WINDOWS XP?

    Just right-click on the USB port and click on edit edit!

    Hello,

    You can simply change the COM port number but not the name by doing this:
    -> Right-click on "This PC" -> Properties
    -> Hardware tab -> Device Manager -> COM Ports
    -> Right-click on the COM port
    -> Properties will allow you to change the COM port number assignment
