Hello, I have 2 Hi-Fi speakers that each have 2 wires for connection (1 red - 1 black).
So I would like to connect these 2 speakers to my PC via a 3.5mm jack plug.
I haven't bought the jack plug yet because I'm not sure if this is possible :/ .
And finally, I would like to know if it's complicated to connect the wires inside the jack plug.
Thank you for replying as soon as possible. Best regards
PS: if someone could provide me with a link to a website for purchasing (Darty, Conforama or other) a 3.5 mm jack plug, I do not want to make a mistake in the purchase.

Configuration: Windows 7 / Firefox 8.0

    Good evening,
there's no need to buy a jack to connect the speakers directly:
it will fry the audio output of the PC!
Standard "home" speakers have an impedance of 16 to 30 Ohms and require a high current (about 2.5 A depending on efficiency and power)
the output of the PC has a high impedance (about 45 k Ohms on average) and provides only a few dozen mA
so you need a preamp and stereo amplifier in between to hear anything.
You can connect the PC's jack output to an input (Tape) of the home preamp-amplifier and the speakers to the outputs, as is normally intended.
A "stereo 3.5 mm jack - RCA" cable should do the trick if the inputs are RCA

    my regards to the neighbors!
    happy connecting

Behind my speakers (hi-fi chain speakers), a label indicates 8 ohms :/ so in clear terms, buying a stereo amp and preamp would cost me more than getting other speakers ^^

      re
unless you can find some (second-hand at a flea market or online)
in short, 8 Ohms is a minimum quality!
to have a comfortable OUTPUT power, it's better to have a decent amplifier
in any case, a set of modern speakers will be equipped (with its own power supply) and all the necessary wiring
so: ...... your speakers are ... economically unrecoverable

      A+
