Hello,
I bought a 16GB Sandisk Cruzer Blade USB drive, but I can't use it due to a write protection issue.
I can't format it either.
I tried another method explained on the forum, via regedit (but for Windows XP and it doesn't apply to Windows 7) (HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SYSTEM/CurrentControlSet/Control/Storage).
There is no mechanical lock on the drive.
I sent an email to Sandisk but I'm still waiting for their response.
Do you have any idea?
Thank you

Configuration: Windows 7 / Firefox 8.0

Hello, wait for the answer, but generally, if there is no manual lock, a write blockage is not a good sign, especially if it's under warranty; exchange it quickly. I had the same problem with an Intenso USB stick and I scratched my head for hours with specialized software, but nothing worked. I wrote directly to the parent company and they told me it was dead and exchanged it for me free of charge. After two years of service, that's nice!
    Have a good day.

finally Sandisk exchanged the faulty key for me, without a receipt, simply with the reference of the key
