DVD Playback Issue - Colored Screen

Hello,
I have an LG TV (flat LCD screen) with a Samsung DVD player (home theater 2
.1) connected via HDMI and optical cable. Everything works perfectly in TV mode.
However, when playing DVDs, I randomly get screens of varying colors (red, blue, green, pink...) that appear for 2 to 3 seconds with loss of image and sound, this "cut" lasts only a total of 7 to 8 seconds before the image comes back. Sometimes these colored screens occur 2 or 3 times in 5 minutes and sometimes 3 or 4 times during the length of the movie.. I don't know much about the intricacies, so if someone could give me a little help... ;-)

Are there any issues with the HDMI connections on the TV or DVD? Do they have any play in them? Are either one of them damaged, as they tend to be fragile?
Try another HDMI port on the TV if you have multiple
Try unplugging the DVD and TV, disconnecting the HDMI, waiting 30 seconds, then reconnecting the HDMI and plugging the TV and DVD back in.

Check the HDMI cable from DVD to TV
Try another one, check that the HDMI connectors are properly plugged in.

Hello, the defect is probably in the video preamplifier circuit. The white balance is unbalanced due to a faulty transistor.
I will try changing the HDMI cable. As for the faulty transistor, I’ll have to check because everything is new...
Are HDMI cables of variable quality?
Thanks again for the information!
