JVC CRT TV won't turn on

Hello,
my friend has a JVC cathode ray tube TV (I don't know the model number) and when he presses the switch to turn it on, it doesn’t turn on. The power indicator (red) works perfectly, but the TV doesn’t turn on, and he hears clicking sounds (tick...tick...tick...tick) while the screen remains black.
Do you think the problem is due to the flyback transformer (THT) or something else?

    I think the high voltage transistor is faulty
    how do I test it?

    Your television has simply gone into safety mode.
    The safety circuit is located in the "power supply" section.
    If it has gone into safety mode, there is a fault.
    Generally, the fault is found in the "time base" circuits.
    The HV (high voltage) section is part of the "line time base," and it may also be defective.
    The best thing to do is to open your device and see if the fault is "visual": a component that has overheated or a "dry" solder joint on the side of the HV transformer.
    Be very careful: a television, even unplugged, is still a danger.

    To test it, you need a controller. It should be measured unsoldered from the chassis and with an ohmmeter.
    It's not easy to explain on a forum, but you can at least check if it's shorted.
    If so, you can replace it with a transistor with the same characteristics.
    It may also be that your high-voltage transformer is faulty and is shorting the final transistor.
