Burnt charger tip and charger port?

Question

Hello, two days ago I smelled a burning odor coming from the entrance where the charger plug is connected. I removed the plug, which was hot, and there are black marks on the metal end as well as in the port!
So I would like to know if I just need to change the charger or also the connector inside the laptop?

And if the connector needs to be changed, what is it called, please?

We should maybe check if nothing on the motherboard has burned out either (in case the connector is directly soldered onto the motherboard).
