Hello,

the keyboard arrow key has disappeared after an update

Configuration: Windows 7 / Internet Explorer 9.0

      At the bottom left of the keyboard, press the fn key with your left hand and, at the same time, press the f9 key at the top of the keyboard with your right hand.

    You mean the pointer... the arrow that allows you to click on an icon...?
    Personally, I'm not aware that you can move it with the keyboard...!
    With the keyboard, you can do things like with the mouse, using Tab, the arrows... OK, but moving the pointer....????

      lol; it's the first thing I set up; very useful in stores when there’s no mouse connected to try out a PC or take a look at it, but now, it's laptops equipped with touchpads that are on the shelves, with or without a password to exit the demo (yes, like before for the password)!

      The Num Lock key should be on by default; it's lame. Personally, I think it's better and more logical to use mouse keys when the Num Lock key (top left of the numeric keypad) is off. It's Num Lock, not Mouse Lock...

      The beep should be kept on the Num Lock key; it's very useful to check if the PC is lagging, freezing, or stuck. The light should follow the same rhythm as the sound; a discrepancy indicates a temporary or persistent issue.

    Especially me who had vaguely heard about the "mouse buttons" but didn't know what it was all about... so, thinking that was what they were talking about, I went to check it out and learned that!!!
    BUT I don't find this system very practical, I think I'm going to forget it...! ;)

      It might not be the exact name, the same one that is operated by the mouse, normally it should be movable from the keyboard. The problem is it no longer appears on the screen. Fortunately, it still works with the mouse.

    Yes, that's it, the pointer, it's a fact that this large touchpad is located on the outside and at the bottom of the computer.

    So, you mean your touchpad is disabled? Look for a key on the keyboard that looks like it. Hold down the Fn key and then press the key that has a touchpad icon. Your laptop might have a button just above the touchpad to enable/disable it.

    To make it easier, you might just want to plug in a mouse.

      OK, I found it, it's a tiny little button just below the touchpad that I must have accidentally disabled. Thanks for the tip. Nice.

      Personally, I don’t think I’ve EVER seen such a poorly presented issue, but oh well... now I’ll know that I need to read between the lines, when there are lines...! ;)
