Excel: sum of "yes" values

Hello everyone,

Could someone explain to me how it is possible in a column containing "yes" and "no" to only have the total of the yes in a designated cell?

    Hello,

    Here is the formula =COUNTIF(B1:B4,"yes") if B1:B4 represents the range to count.
