You can also
- add hyphens wherever possible (for example "must we come?" instead of "we must come?" saves you 1 word)
- hunt for missing hyphens ("do we wish" and not "do we wish ")
- use adverbial forms ("sincerely" instead of "with sincerity")
- prefer words instead of expressions ("many" instead of "quite a few" or "a large number of").
How many words do you currently have? And what is your limit?
Because "ghosting" words so that Word doesn't count them is illusory and unrealistic!
