Hello,
well here we are again?! How do I reduce my CV from 6.86 MB to 2 MB as required by most company websites in their "CV submission" recruitment section? You understand, I am looking for a job... and your answer is VERY important to me. Thank you very much. Eric (Paris) P.S. I’m sorry, but I’ve tried several methods from here... without success.
Configuration: Windows XP / Internet Explorer 8.0

Hello,
Clearly, the weight of the photo is the issue!
Ideally, before integrating a photo into a word processor, you should check its dimensions and weight. If necessary, use software like GIMP to reduce the size (proportionally) and experiment until the definition is acceptable as well as the weight. For a CV, of course, send a PDF but not a zip file.
If you have an iPhone, for your CV, you can use giga-cv to check the weight of the PDF file and adjust the resolution of your photo.
Best regards,
Kodaski

Thank you, I resolved the issue.
Hello
In what format is your resume? .doc, docx, pdf? Is there a photo?

Me with my Care Bear, I give him kisses
And to thank me, he gives me some too.

You send it in PDF, I imagine?
Have you tried to zip it? (if you know what I'm talking about, if I explain it to you)

ouch ouch ouch ...!!! it's getting really complicated for me right now. Unfortunately, I don't know anymore!!! I definitely think I included it in the CV; and indeed then only reduced it... Yes, that's probably it. But don't worry about me... If I understood correctly, it's the photo that's causing the problem. So I will delete it if the problem persists. I have until Thursday...

Eric!
If everything has disappeared and you haven't closed the file yet, just click on the "Undo" icon (blue rounded arrow).
If you already closed it while confirming "Save changes," you should give yourself a slap ...
If you haven't made any backup copies since you started this CV, you are unforgivable.
Since you've seen all your mistakes, start over with a brand new CV, without background color or WordArt, with only one photo reduced to a maximum of 40 KB.
You resolutely promise for the future that every time you modify a document, you'll first make a copy, just in case ...
Best regards.

As previously mentioned, the best way to share a resume is in PDF format... which will not allow any manipulation from a potential recruiter. Beyond that... a 7MB .doc resume... there must be an issue. Either the photo is too large (or poorly compressed), or remove the 10 unnecessary pages from the resume and keep just 2 or 3, if you have already gained quite a bit of experience... Only include the main points on your resume, and save the surprises for the discussion on the day of your interview.
Hello everyone. Thank you, thank you, thank you... for all your help online. I was able to recover my CV through a friend who had kept it in the "trash!!!" But it still has that damn photo... I don't dare touch anything anymore. So, I can't bother everyone with a problem as stupid as simple. Thank you all. Eric S. Post closed.
