Installation of epson stylus sx110

Hello,
I have an Epson Stylus SX 110 printer, and I can't install it on my husband's PC, HP Compaq 6720 S. How can I do that? I have the installation disc,

    You should not connect the printer until the software requests it.

    Insert the CD into the drive
    Follow the instructions, and when it asks you to connect it with the cable, do so, but not before.

      but I did put the CD in the drive without plugging in the printer but nothing appears on the screen

      Go to My Computer, then select the DVD drive and double-click on it.
