Hello, I’m looking for this song that my mom used to sing!!!

"As I was going to the horse show
I met in various neighborhoods
looking at me with a volcanic air
four non-commissioned officer students.....

I only left the next morning the polytechnician"
Thank you for helping me find the author and composer of this song!

Good evening, here is a version of the song <polytechnicien> that my grandmother used to sing and my cousin gave me.

    The Polytechnician

While going to the horse show
    I met in various neighborhoods
Looking at me with a volcanic expression
    four young officer trainees
I walk down Avenue Désir, a student from St Cyr
on Rue Réaumur a student from Saumur
I met on Rue Feydeau a student from Fontainebleau
on Rue St Julien a Polytechnician

Arriving at the Palais de l'Industrie
where the competition takes place every year
    there I was soon besieged
    by the most pointed remarks
I saw the eager desire of the St Cyr student
I read in the azure eye of the Saumur student
I eyed the funny demeanor of the Fontainebleau student
I admired the bearing of the polytechnician

At the end of the competition, I get up
And all four of them did the same
    with each turn, each student
offers me something as they pass by
"Do you want to have a Bihrr?"
    says the St Cyr student
    "A beer from Namur"
    says the Saumur student
"I offer you a fir tree"
    says the polytechnician

I took a bock out of politeness
    for they were quite insistent
    And soon I confess
    of a very awkward notebook
I left without blushing the St Cyr student
I left without a murmur the Saumur student
I left without a word the Fontainebleau student
I only left the polytechnician the next day.

    The End</polytechnicien>

      hello,
I almost have the same lyrics as you. I'm sending you the lyrics as I remember them, yours helped me a lot to recall the lyrics. I don't know the author either...
      The Polytechnician

As I was going to the equestrian competition
      I met in various neighborhoods
Looking at me with a volcanic air
      four young officer students
I saw a student from St Cyr in the Place du Désir
on Rue Réaumur, a student from Saumur
I met on Rue Feydeau a student from Fontainebleau
and I saw on Rue St Julien a Polytechnician

Arriving at the Palace of Industry
where the competition takes place every year
      there I was soon besieged
      by the most cutting remarks
I saw the keen desire of the student from St Cyr
I read in the azure eye of the student from Saumur
I eyed the funny demeanor of the student from Fontainebleau
I admired the bearing of the polytechnician

At the end of the competition, I got up
      My riders did the same
      following my lead, each student
      offered me something upon exiting
“Would you like to have a Byrrh?”
said the student from St Cyr
      “A beer from Namur,”
      said the student from Saumur
      “A mint water,”
      said the student from Fontainebleau
“I'll offer you a fir tree,”
      said the polytechnician

I accept a Byrrh out of politeness
but each of them was so pressing
that at the moment of leaving, I confess
      it was becoming quite compromising
I left without blushing the student from St Cyr
I left the pure forehead of the student from Saumur
I left without a word the student from Fontainebleau
I only left the polytechnician the next day.

Hello, I'm not sure if it's really a song, but when I put the lyrics on GOOGLE, I stumbled upon the book: Memoirs of Bobboquet. We'll see...
