Hello everyone,
I’m sorry if a topic like this has already been opened; if that’s the case, I couldn’t find it… =/
I have a problem with my Packard Bell PC.
It has been shutting down suddenly for several days, without warning, for no apparent reason, at no specific moment (for example, it could be when launching my browser, watching a video, etc.)
At first, I thought it might be due to overheating, given the temperatures in mid-August. I cleaned the dust out of my computer, which it greatly needed, and I was able to significantly lower the system temperatures, which now seem normal. Everything seemed fine, the computer is functioning somewhat normally, except that it still shuts down just as suddenly.
When it shuts down, the main light blinks blue and orange, lasting about 2 seconds for each color.
I couldn’t find what that meant in the manual.
I’m counting on your help, thank you to everyone who replies.
Here are some specifications of my PC:
Packard Bell
AMD Sempron Processor
3200+
1.83 GHz, 896 MB of RAM
Microsoft Windows XP
Home Edition
Version 2002
Service Pack 3

All these terms are vague and a bit too gloomy for me as I’m not skilled enough in this area. My power supply broke down one day and I had to send it to Paris to get it replaced. Here in Corsica, it was quite complicated.....
I noticed that this mostly happened when I was playing. Games that I buy from very reliable websites, guaranteed virus-free and that I’ve played a hundred times.... Does this happen to you when you’re on a game, preferably a very long one?
Tonight, it cut out on me four times while I was playing a game. I turned it back on and went to look for information on the Internet where I found what you wrote very interesting. And since then, it hasn't cut out again.....
I’m going to start panicking every time I launch a game......
