Drag and drop issue Windows 7

Hello,

for some time now on Windows 7 I can no longer drag and drop.
Note that:

-The files I want to move are on the same drive.

-When I use the Shift key, it works, but it used to work without touching anything, so I would like to know why.

I also discovered something strange. When I open the folder where I want to put the file to be moved via a shortcut (on the desktop for example), Windows offers to copy it. Yet when I access the same folder via the full path, it offers to move it. I don’t understand anything anymore.

If you have ever had this type of problem, please let me know the solutions because it’s a bit inconvenient to have to press the Shift key if I have a lot of moves to make.

    You may have corrupted files on your system.
    It could also be a virus???
    Check if you have any system restore points.
    If so, choose a date before your problem and initiate a restore.
    See the result.

      I also tried to do a restore. Except that it didn't go back far enough in time and my problem is still there despite the restoration.
      I will scan my computer and see the result.

    Maybe a lead...

    I've had this problem before but with different symptoms; it's on XP when I wanted to have 2 extra items in the context menu = Copy to and Move to. In Adobe Photoshop Elements (version a year before 2001 +or-), it opened the Copy to window (if I recall correctly, or the other Move to) by opening the help, I believe; oh no, both one after the other, yes yes, that's it, both.

    I didn't make the connection at first (and I wanted to keep my 2 items afterwards)...

    I partially undo tweaked Windows; I removed the two items and it was fine.

    You need to repair or restore in the registry the default state for opening.

    I believe there are also ".reg" files (registry merge) for folders.

    In the command prompt, type sfc /scannow and start the scan to see if you have any system file errors.
    If Windows can, it will repair the errors.
    Check the report.

      I tried the scan + sfc/scannow and nothing works... It’s really strange, I feel like it only happens with folder shortcuts. Too bad, I’ll adapt with the Shift key. Thank you and have a good day.

      You need to leave a space between the sfc and the / for the sfc /scannow if you haven't done it!

      In the registry, you have a key "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\folder":

      Can you make a copy to check (export the key and open the file; add ".txt").

      I have (under Windows 7 Home Premium x64; TOSHIBA PC):

      Look at the keys containing "DragDropHandlers".

      Command regedit.exe or just regedit to open the registry.

      Whether with or without space for the sfc, the verification starts in both cases without detecting the slightest error. Thank you anyway :)

      I exported the dragdrop keys but we don't have the same values at all. I have Windows 7 Pro so maybe the difference comes from that.
