Hello,
I have a little problem with Excel; when I write in a cell and hit enter, the cell clears by itself, even though everything was working fine yesterday. Does anyone have a remedy?
Thanks

The cell seems empty; so be it!
But what's in the formula bar?

Hello,
I was looking at your post because I had the same issue. Not finding a solution, I went back to my Excel page and miracle, I solved the problem! Here’s what I did (sorry, my Excel 2010 is in English): select the problem cell(s), and click on the "Conditional Formatting" menu in the "Home" tab; then at the bottom choose "Clear Rules" and "From Selected Cells", or "From Entire Sheet" if the problem isn't locatable...
That's it!

Hi,
There must be something like what Patrice or Raymond described to you, but given the urgency of the follow-up, it shouldn't be too much of a hassle.
Highlight a range of cells that includes your cell, which should normally be filled in. For example, enter something in cell C3 and highlight the range A1 to D10.
What do you see through the grayed-out selection?
See you later

Hello,
I am encountering the same problem; when I type in an Excel cell, it automatically clears if I use TAB or even if I use the mouse to switch cells.
Thank you in advance for your feedback.

Hello,
Each case is a particular case; we need to start by looking at the font color, then make sure that no conditional formatting is interfering, and maybe check if there is any VBA code that might be taking the input range into account.
Can you tell me more about your problem?

Hello Mike,
So I'm encountering this problem in all my Excel files; when I create a new sheet there’s no problem, until I save it, after that I can’t work on it anymore. (and it’s not opened in read-only).
Font color checked.
Thank you.

Thank you for the advice, but the white screen issue is not it. It happens to me regularly, and I have to restart the computer, and then the Excel file works again. So on Friday, my problem was resolved by restarting, but it will happen again. I thought it was an Excel option issue, like sometimes when the automatic calculations of formulas switch to manual without us having touched anything.
To be continued, if the problem recurs...
