Hello,
Having recently acquired a Samsung Wave II, I wanted to know when the new version of Bada would be released and how I could install it.
I have already installed Kies.
Thank you in advance!

The official BADA version is 1.2 (according to WIKI Bada), 2.0 is in beta and will be available in official version very soon.
As for me, I bought my Samsung with Bada 1.0, and there’s nothing available for me on KIES even for Bada 1.2; I had to deal with a heavily restricted phone with a dozen useless icons from my operator. I couldn’t fully enjoy my phone, and for me, BADA was worthless. After realizing that I could only use 50% of the available apps, I took the plunge, I flashed my Wave from A to Z after reading numerous tutorials and after studying samfirmware.com thoroughly.
I encountered everything: battery issues during updates, bootfile problems, wrong firmware version, I even flashed with my micro-card and SIM card, like an idiot, I lost all my contacts but managed to recover everything.
Today I know exactly what to do and what to avoid, I have backed up all the firmwares to use and I perform a factory reset on my smartphone whenever I want. I know what to use to flash my phone. I have an unlocked smartphone, not restricted and EVERYTHING works, I mean EVERYTHING, no more bugs, even my GPS works, I have tools like the Wi-Fi modem and other highly useful tools that were invisible before. My modem is 100 times faster, the USB connection no longer bugs, before I waited 3 minutes to sync the PC and mobile; I can even make calls over Wi-Fi or connected via USB. I don't have internet at home; I use my phone as a router thanks to my 3G. There are even games that have been upgraded to 1.2 like Pokerist.com, so I do not regret it, I know my phone well and all the administrative options. Now, I download via Kies whatever game I want; I don’t mind paying because I can finally enjoy the apps without bugs from previous versions.
So frankly to everyone who says to wait for the update via Kies, I say GOOD LUCK. Bada 2.0 will be available for ALL Waves, but it is possible that the operators will still limit its use. So I am ruthless, freedom has no price; as long as operators restrict smartphones, I remove their restrictive layer by getting the official versions because I paid for an accessory with my money that I want to use fully while benefiting from all the updates without waiting, I’m not even talking about the shop consultants from the operators who know no more than I do! For updates, they just need to be responsive enough. To ruin your phone, you really have to be an idiot and unlucky; all the solutions are on the net, you just need to take your time and make backups. Google is your best friend. And LONG LIVE FREEDOM!!

Hello, how do I flash my wave like you?
You can easily find a list of new features (and images) by searching for bada 2 on Google.
I currently have the beta version (so with quite a few bugs and a bit slow) of the system and it's not bad.
I won't list all the notable new features, but here are a few:
- new graphical interface
- new GPS (still Samsung LBS Route 66 but in a new version, not necessarily better in my opinion)
- updated Facebook apps (a bit more like the iPhone, with chat)
MSN, Yahoo, and Gmail chat integrated natively
- new internet browser
and I'm forgetting some^^

I understood from reading the news this morning that Bada 2 is being released exclusively for the Wave 3, M, and Y models. I don't think it is intended to be installed on the Wave 2, although I would really like that. I'm interested to know where you saw that the OS update would be done via Kies. Thank you in advance.

I currently have the firmware s8530 (the Wave 2) xp (which contains the France region) k (2011) H (August) 1 (first revision)
the latest is kh3, I believe
you need to search for the firmware on specialized sites (XDA forum, SamFirmware or others) and install it with Multiloader /!\ this voids the warranty!
the new Waves were supposed to come out with Bada 2 but it should be rolled out to all Waves
(and it works perfectly on mine so no problem ^^)

Bada 2 is NOT yet officially available on Wave 1 and 2!
There are unofficial methods to obtain it: flashing. And this is not the final version.
I will notify when it is officially available.

Basically, you need to wait for flg91, bada 2.0 will be released in September and Kies will offer you to install it on your phone.
Personally, yesterday, I had a huge scare with this software, as it crashed in the middle of the process and also in the middle of retrieving my current firmware, so wait until the update works for others and be patient.
P.S.: Don't mess around flashing your Wave with unofficial versions because, as Benzox says, the warranty will void after that and you'll be on your own with your problem.
The question being when will bada 2.0 be available on Kies as an update.... only time will tell....
Hoping I’ve answered your question.

You will have to wait for the update to be available via Kies, according to the information announced by Samsung on September 2, it will be in the 4th quarter, probably sometime in October. Translation: in my opinion, we'll have to wait until early 2012 :(
Hello,
I just accepted a Kies update for my Wave 2 Bouygues Telecom, which went wrong because it ends on a white screen with a red message saying "fota engine is not installed." It is then impossible to get the Wave 2 recognized by Kies to launch an emergency restore. What can I do to fix this?
Will Bouygues help us?
Thank you

Hello everyone, so I have a Samsung Wave 2 and my question is what format of files are supported because I have plenty of APKs that work on my Galaxy but not on my Wave. After that, I could find a converter if someone has the solution, personally I would be happy because I've been looking for a while now...
Yes, I'm not very skilled, but I will manage... lol thanks in advance, see you soon.

A piece of information that moves ahead a lot... December...
A piece of information that moves ahead a lot... December...
Indeed, the release would be pushed back to March/April... What can I say, except that it's really, really outrageous... To think that we trust Samsung, that we pay over 200 euros when for the same price there’s Android, just to test and support Bada...
Well, if you're testing and want to support Bada, then you can wait a bit longer, right??? Or at worst, you can return your current Wave and get a Wave 3... it's only its second year with Bada... and besides, your smartphone hasn't stopped working because of your version lol, so just wait...
Plus, there hasn't been any announcement from Samsung yet, so it could still be something amazing.

Release in Poland and Hungary?
