VERY SIMPLE: How to capture/recover/download videos from YouTube / DailyMotion / Kewego ...

PRINCIPLE:
----------
While watching the video, it is fully downloaded to the temporary directory of Windows under a name like FLAxxx.TMP,
BUT this file remains open by the web browser and therefore cannot be copied or moved.
Moreover, when you close your browser or change web pages, this file is emptied and deleted and cannot be recovered even with specialized tools.

The trick is to create a temporary directory on a removable drive (USB stick or other),
to play the video and thus fully download it, at the end of the playback, abruptly disconnect the removable drive.
The video remains on the removable drive, is properly closed and thus can be copied.

Then you just need to reconnect the removable drive, rename the temporary file (usually FLAxxx.TMP)
with the FLV extension AND ONLY AFTER close the web browser.

Play the video with an FLV player (e.g., FLV Player, VLC Player, ...)


METHOD:
---------

1) Connect your USB stick, create a temporary directory (e.g., H:\temp [if your stick is assigned to the letter H])


2) Modify the Windows variable “TMP” (and not “TEMP”) and enter the temporary folder of your USB stick:

Click on “Start” / “Settings” / “Control Panel” / “System” / “Advanced” tab
/ “Environment Variables” / in the 1st box “User Variables for ...”,
click once on the variable “TMP” (and not “TEMP”), click on “Modify”
(KEEP THE CONTENT OF "Variable Value", TO RESTORE WHEN EVERYTHING IS DONE)
and enter the temporary folder of your USB stick (e.g., H:\temp) / “OK” / “OK” / “OK”


3) Log off Windows and then log back in:

Click on “Start” / “Log off ...”, wait for Windows to close
Click on your session to re-enter Windows


4) Launch your web browser and start playing the video to the end BUT!!!

AT THE END OF PLAYBACK DO NOT DO ANYTHING ON YOUR BROWSER!!!
(do not close it, do not change web page, do not refresh)
IN SHORT, DO NOT DO ANYTHING ON YOUR BROWSER!!!

=> That's it, the video is in the directory H:\temp\FLAxxx.TMP


5) Abruptly disconnect your USB stick and then reconnect it

Rename the file “H:\Temp\FLAxxx.TMP” to “H:\Temp\toto.FLV”
and move it to your personal folder


THAT'S IT.

For each video start again at §4


6) When all your videos are downloaded, restore the initial value to the Windows variable “TMP” (follow §2)


7) To play FLV files, you can use among others:
VLC Player: http://www.videolan.org/
FLV Player: https://applian.com/flvplayer/?src=GFLV_PLAYER

And do we know which URL to grab?

I tried with "Tools" - "Page Info" - "Media" - "Object" but it doesn't work in VLC.
