VAIO keyboard Fn key and numpad issue

Question

Hi everyone!

I apologize if my first post has already gone through... But with the computer acting up right now, I'd rather be sure...

My cat walked on my keyboard earlier, and since then, the green LED light at the top indicating a lock with a 1 inside is on, and the numeric keypad is locked...
How can I unlock it?
It's even more annoying since the computer refuses to shut down like this...
And I have an urgent need to use it...
Moreover, the touchpad doesn't click anymore when I tap on it...

(I should mention that all the other Fn keys work...)

Hello,
I’m taking advantage of being able to type a few lines without any issues
I have a big problem of the same kind with a laptop, I cleaned the keyboard with a vacuum + air spray, and now as soon as I move my mouse, it types exponents, it launches help on all pages and when I test it on Notepad, it keeps typing the date indefinitely. Plus, all of a sudden it starts changing the brightness and volume, or it goes into sleep mode by itself. I’ve tried fn + num lock but nothing works, not even fn print screen...
I scanned because I really thought it was a virus, I found nothing, it really seems like a loose connection. What should I do?

Hello, I have a Sony Vaio VGN-FS285H, the FN key does not work with the F6 and F7 keys. I downloaded the updates from Sony's website, but nothing. Please help me.

Numbers are being typed and dashes appear instead of the desired letters

Thank you, ngane. I had the same problem, and indeed it was the "Num Lock" key that was activated. Instead of reading "456*", I now read "uiop". A big thank you.
