How to Disable Startup with No Extensions?

Hello,
For the past two days, when I turn on my iMac (OS X version 10.6.7), it starts up in Safe Mode! It takes longer to boot, and I have to type in my password.
I've had this Mac for a short time, and I don't think I've done anything to trigger this Safe Mode startup...
My question is as follows:
How can I stop this startup, as it seems to have no usefulness at the moment? I've looked around on forums and read that this startup mode is used to troubleshoot or find certain problems, but my Mac is working perfectly fine :)
Thank you for the time you will dedicate to my question.
Best regards,
Pauline
Configuration: Mac OS X / Safari 533.21.1

Hello,
The first thing to provide is your configuration; the systems, depending on their version, respond differently to the asked questions, so: the model of the Mac and the version of the system (OS) are the minimum to give.
Are you sure it's a startup without extensions? This function is optional and requires a keyboard shortcut to activate.

I have precisely indicated the version of my iMac in the post, so I will repeat it: it is OS X version 10.6.7.
Then, it seems to me that it is indeed a startup without extensions, since it was indicated in the window where I had to type my password to log in.
I may have accidentally used the keyboard shortcut.
In any case, I just turned on the machine 15 minutes ago, and it started up normally. (However, I did not hear the startup "bong"... ?)
Thank you for your help.
For the sound, check in the Apple menu/system preferences/sound/output that the sound hasn't been muted, as the mute box may be checked.
For the sound, the mute box is not checked... I'll see at the next startup.
