Hello,
I have had my camcorder for almost a year and I never wanted to edit anything until a few months ago. I am currently using Image Mixer 3 and my problem is as follows: I have an importation issue. Let me explain, I took the memory card from the camcorder and put it in a special USB stick to transfer everything to my computer, which worked.
But when I open Image Mixer 3, there is nothing, and I can't do anything when I open the folders where the videos from my camcorder, which I transferred using the USB stick, are located; I can no longer find my videos.
Can anyone (who understands me) please help me? This is an extreme emergency. Thank you all.

It's Chichou5545 again, if you can't answer me, could you suggest another perfect editing software for this type of camera? Thanks, everyone.

At first, it is recommended to use the transfer software provided, and then you can use editing software that supports the AVCHD format, such as Pinnacle or Magix.
The AVCHD format of the new camcorders and its editing
The computer must be a power monster
Memory card and mini hard disk camcorders, thus without magnetic tape (cassette), would be the ideal companions for software editing. Copying to the computer is just a matter of seconds, no more waiting for a real-time transfer. In fact, it is not that simple; the AVCHD (H264) format was not designed for editing (adding transitions, titles, and music). However, going directly from the camcorder to an HD screen delivers stunning results. This is what many casual users do without asking for more, and it is towards them that manufacturers have turned their attention.
This format is designed to store the maximum amount of data required by High Definition in a minimum "memory space," which is the card or mini hard disk; its writing is heavily coded, compressed, and new tools are needed to process it.
The latest versions of Vegas, Ulead, Pinnacle, and Adobe can handle it, either by converting AVCHD into an uncompressed format (which increases the required space twentyfold) for editing, an operation that takes a crazy amount of time: 60 minutes of capture requires 2 hours of preparation.
Magix, which converts to mpeg2 to facilitate editing, or Pinnacle, which edits without conversion (native), requires waiting each time you apply a transition to a clip. -
Hi there,
Thank you very much for your response (especially for understanding me) and I completely understand your answer. So I believe I gathered that my camcorder would only be for viewing on TV and not for editing, which would be a big problem for me because my passion is cinema and my goal is to work in that field. I'm making some films with this camera that I would like to edit.
Then I tried Pinnacle and it didn't work :/ But thank you, I will try Adobe or Magix.
Thanks again so much.-
It warms my heart to be understood by a woman and therefore, encouraged, I am sending my second report
The range of solutions is expanding with editing software that is becoming compatible with AVCHD, as well as "Proprietary" software provided with camcorders that simplify things but also complicate them for editing and burning:
With an AVCHD camcorder under Windows, you can burn a non-HD DVD in MPEG2 in standard DVD definition thanks to the burning utility included with the provided software. Just connect the USB plug and set the camcorder to file transfer mode to the hard drive
To burn a DVD properly, rely only on simple options
You can burn from AVCHD to AVCHD, but this requires playback on an AVCHD-compatible Blu-ray player. In any case, a recent and "powerful" computer and large hard drives are necessary if you want to process AVCHD in editing
Best regards -
Thank you very much for helping me,
The engraving, the editing thank you very much for your answers, I'm only at the editing stage because I tried Adobe but my computer isn't powerful enough and otherwise I would go directly see an editor to help me but thank you very much it makes me very happy for your help
