[Outlook] Clear the A field history...

Question

Hello everyone,

I would like to clear the history of my contacts in Outlook 2003.
Let me explain.
I create a new message. In the To... field, I start typing the name of the recipient.
At that point, Outlook suggests names that start with the typed letter.
However, it shows me email addresses that I no longer use and that are not in my contacts.

My question is the following: How can I clear this list (history) so that it no longer suggests these incorrect email addresses?

It is actually sufficient, as previously mentioned, to go to the name of the person to be deleted by typing the first letters to identify them, then go to that person USING THE KEYBOARD (not the mouse) and press the DELETE key. Simple as that.

I have the same problem, I inherit email addresses that my colleagues use. I solved my problem by deleting the file "Outlook.NK2" in C:\Documents and Settings\YOUR NAME\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook

Problem: you delete everything. If you still want to keep certain addresses, you'll need to open this file with an editor (like Notepad) and delete the addresses while keeping the same separator (and good luck with that)...

Hello,
there is a simple method to delete incorrect entries when there is a list of several names; you need to select the incorrect lines and press the delete key.
Otherwise, deleting the NK2 will indeed remove all entries.

I don't have the same problem. My problem is that I created a new Microsoft Outlook mailbox on another computer and I can't import the received emails into my new inbox on the new computer. Can you help me solve this issue? Knowing that my mailbox is full and I need to delete emails to be able to receive and send new emails. Thank you.
