Hello,
I have a double-sided printing issue with Publisher:
I have a 2-page document. I want to print the front with 2 copies of page 1, and on the back with 2 copies of page 2 (to create A5 flyers).
So I specify in the print options that I want 2 copies, and 2 pages per sheet, and double-sided.
When I request this print, the printer outputs the correct layout but not double-sided: that is, I get 2 copies of page 1 on one sheet, and 2 copies of page 2 on another sheet.
To do a test, I took an old version of the document from 2009 (the flyer changes content every month or so). I modify the content, and double-sided printing works very well. The problem seemed solved.
But, since several of us are updating this document, I emailed it to someone, who saved it on their computer, modified only the text (with the same version of Publisher), and emailed it back to me. I save it on the computer that is connected to the printer: and there, double-sided printing no longer works, I get the same result as before!!!!!
Can you advise me on how I can solve this problem? Does saving change the document's properties?
Thank you in advance for your help.
Configuration: Windows XP / Internet Explorer 7.0

It's difficult to find an explanation because double-sided printing depends on the printer's driver. Publisher uses the information available in the driver to create layouts and apply restrictions if there are any.
Personally, I would say there are two things to check:
In the layout, check that there are no text or image blocks exceeding the paper size
And in the printer settings, make sure the paper size corresponds with the document size for what you want to do.
If it still doesn't work, try copying and pasting two layouts onto two A4 pages and print the A4 double-sided... (unless that doesn't work either... in A4!)
