Watermark disappears when printing

Hello everyone,
I’m at the office and I’m working on Word 2003. I created a document where I put a faded image as a watermark.
Everything was going well, the image was present in the background behind my entire document. Everything was fine until I interrupted the printing to change the color ink cartridge. Since then, it’s as if the watermark has disappeared, and an image that was supposed to be behind it has reappeared on the printed document, while the watermark is still visible on my screen and in the print preview... HEEELP :)
My boss might get angry ^^
Thanks in advance.
Valentin

Hello

It's not clear, what's the problem?

2 images that appear? It means you must have made several attempts and you have one as a watermark and another inserted in the text or in the header.
If you only need the watermark, delete everything and start the insertion of the watermark again.

If it's just the printing of the watermark: Tools / Options / Print tab / check drawings

Thank you for replying.
To be clearer, the problem is as follows:
I created a letter in Word, I inserted a theme (background) as a watermark. My document was working perfectly, but suddenly (after 50 copies without issue) the document started coming out on a white background, even though the background has not been removed.
However, I have noticed in the meantime that on another printer (at my home) the document printed correctly... it seems that the problem is technical regarding the printer, and this is totally beyond me.

Thank you nonetheless for your response, and you never know, if someone has a solution I'm interested.

Have a nice day.

Indeed...
if it no longer prints after 50 copies, is it a sign of an empty cartridge?
I have no other idea. Sorry :(

By the way, the "drawing" tab is correctly checked in the print options... :s

No, the cartridge has been changed, and the colors come out without any problem on the logos and other images in the document.
It's not a big deal, I just have to print this on another printer.
Thank you anyway :)

Well... I must have bad karma -_-'
it started doing the same thing on a new printer, after a hundred prints without problems... no ink issues... I definitely don't get it!
is there a good internet genius out there who could save me with a snap of their fingers?? :D

Hi,

You would need a genie with clairvoyant abilities...

But, in my humble opinion, when you have a large number of copies to print, especially in color, I wouldn't use my printer unless I had a professional printer capable of handling high volumes.

You should save your file as a PDF and go to a copy shop that is equipped for that. Even with the cost of color copies, it ends up being cheaper than using your own paper and cartridges, which you paid a lot for. They also offer a discounted rate for large quantities.

Is it still time?

I just saw your comment, yes it would have been time, but the number of copies is not that important - according to my boss (about 300) - so I simply stopped it for the weekend, and Tuesday morning everything worked wonderfully again, like magic... :s
Thanks anyway!!
See you!!
