HP PSC 700 series Printer Driver Solved

Question

Good evening,

I have an HP printer model PSC 750.

I had to reinstall my operating system this weekend. However, it turns out that the installation CD that came with the printer is not compatible with XP.

Note: The printer was working under XP Pro before this weekend.... And I don't remember any magic trick when switching to XP... so ?????

I downloaded the driver from the HP website, but despite this, I can't manage to install the printer.

I also tried going through the Windows Update drivers... but among the fifty printer drivers proposed, there is no driver for MY model...

There's always the option of buying the update CD... but I hope for another alternative...

I'm answering myself... just in case some of you have the same issue later ;-)

For my part, I used the script provided by Jean Marc, verification OK.
I also checked via the method provided by Odissine, no problem with the Device Path

So I displayed the INF subfolder in Windows.

When starting the Add Hardware Wizard, check manual installation and indicate the folder c:\windows\inf

The printer finds all the drivers and installs without any issues... Same for the USB Hub that was acting up!

I have a problem with data transfers; when I scan a document, the software does not transfer it to Word 2003 and I don't know why.

Well, I noticed that this software that allows the HP series 700 copier to transfer documents to Word is only compatible with Office XP and not with 2003 and later.

I just got a new computer. I now have VISTA.
I have an HP PSC 1215 series printer.
I can print documents, I can make copies, but I can't scan documents anymore.
Do you know a solution so that I can use it properly? It tells me that there is likely a compatibility issue.

the software to enable you to use all the functions of your printer.

I just changed my central unit and am now working under Vista, but my HP psc 750 all-in-one printer only works as a printer! I can no longer scan or copy. Could someone tell me where to find the drivers that work under Vista?

Hi everyone,
I have a problem: I have an old laptop (running Win98), I pulled it out for work, and I wanted to install my HP PSC750 printer on it. My problem is that I no longer have the driver for 98 (since my other PC is running XP), and to make matters worse, my own HP vendor has decided no longer to allow downloads of this driver for versions below XP. Undoubtedly to force my hand to buy a brand new laptop with everything on it.
If someone could send me the driver for 98, I would greatly appreciate it.

Hello,

if your laptop is a Pentium III, you can install Windows 2000 or XP so you'll have the chance to download the driver compatible with one of the two operating systems.

And for the gentleman who has a bug problem when converting documents to PDF, I advise him to unplug the printer from the computer for a few seconds and then plug it back in; if that doesn’t work, uninstall the driver and the software, restart the PC, and reinstall both again because it’s a communication problem between the printer and the computer, otherwise it could be a cable issue.
