[Powerpoint]Disable "click to advance"

Slide show / Transition then in "Advance to the next slide" uncheck the Manually box.

Keyboard actions remain valid.

Go to Slideshow, then Set Up Show and check "Browsed at a kiosk".
This disables the transition to the next slide and requires navigation through hyperlinks.

thank you for this information but I just tested it on the PowerPoint 2010 version and apparently it doesn't work!! :s

I would also like to know how to disable clicks on a PowerPoint.

In the meantime, here’s the technique I use to workaround this issue:
On each slide, I insert a button that I enlarge so that it covers the entire slide. In the button options (right click), I check the "transparency" option. Then, I link the button to the current slide. Finally, I make sure that all the hyperlinks on my slide are in the foreground and that all other shapes (text boxes, images...) are in the background, because it's important to know that clicking on a text box or an image can also take you to the next slide.

This can be summarized as follows:
Foreground: hyperlink
2nd plan: the transparent button I created
Background: text, photos...

Ultimately, only the hyperlinks to the chosen slides are active, and a click outside of these links takes you back to the slide you are currently on.

This is tedious, but it works... if anyone knows another way, I’m all ears.
