Ebp Classic 14.1 won't start

Hello,
On March 2nd, I received a call from EBP to sell me a support contract, which I refused... and today, March 8th, I can no longer connect... you call that a coincidence?!?
The following messages appear:
"The application failed to start because its side-by-side configuration is incorrect"
"Unable to update the EBP exchange utility, please check your Internet connection".
When I called them, they explained to me that I said no to the support and they would only respond if I pay!
Is there anyone who would be kind enough to help me because I admit I am really lost?

    Hello, I just discovered exactly the same message as you when starting my EBP accounting software V14 pro.
    "The application failed to start because its side-by-side configuration is incorrect."

    Have you been able to solve this problem? I have exactly the same one and it's urgent, I need to finalize my report. If you have the solution, I’m all ears because I’ve tried everything, even re-downloading EBP from their website and nothing works.

    Right-click on the launch icon, in the compatibility tab check the box
    Run the program in compatibility mode .... select Windows 2000
    click apply
    then restart EBP by forcing the launch, it will start in compatibility mode
    Once started, close EBP
    Right-click again, then properties, compatibility tab, uncheck the box, then apply
    Then check if EBP restarts normally
