Hello,
I just downloaded eMule 0.50a and I can't remove the black banner of the mule, so my downloads are taking longer.
I am on Wi-Fi with France Citevision and have a Windows Firewall.
Does anyone have a solution?
Thanks

Configuration: Windows 7 / Internet Explorer 8.0

Hello,

The black banner means you are in low ID.

This is likely because you have not redirected the TCP and UDP ports to your computer.
To know the ports, go to preferences and connections.

There you should see something like TCP 4662 and UDP 4672 for example. You may not have the same numbers.
In any case, write them down on a piece of paper.

Then go to your firewall interface, but I can't help you with that as I don't use Windows. However, the process will be as follows:
You will need to open the ports you noted.

If that is already done, go to your modem interface to configure the router and redirect the ports to your computer.

Also, be aware that you are very likely on DHCP, which basically means that your computer receives a local IP from your router.
It may look like 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.0.10 or something else.

In any case, you will need to redirect the ports to the IP address that your computer obtains.
