Hello,

I have a little issue with one of my folders (a normal Windows folder)
I have some files in it and I was having fun sorting them by name.
Now I would like to revert it to normal, but I can't remove the sorting.
The files are stuck sorting into categories: A-D E-K L-P Q-Z

How do I remove this cursed sorting?

Have a good day

Configuration: Windows 7 / Firefox 3.6.13

Oh no, it's fine.
You need to do this: right-click in the folder, group by > none

Thank you.

Hi
I can't find the sorting by "none" on Windows 7 as you just said
I would also like to be able to move the items in a folder as I wish, without them being sorted automatically
Thank you

Great, it works for W10 as well.

In April 2020, there is no longer a section for that, it's frustrating.

click on the view tab
in the "Current View" section of the ribbon: "Group By" icon: choose none

Right click on the folder bar (name-size-date) and recheck date.

I don't know 7, but when you open a folder, just above the folder items, you should have a line with the names of the various attributes of the items (name, creation date, size in bytes, folder type, etc.). If you right-click on this line, you can configure it.
