Hello,
I managed to connect to my Orange livebox via Wi-Fi using my network card, I entered the requested network key (here WEP), but it says that the connection is limited ("limited access")...
I think it's a problem with the IP address or the network gateway, something like that.
Could you please help me? I would like to connect via Wi-Fi because right now I am just next to my TV with my livebox... -_-
Configuration: Windows 7 / Firefox 3.6.13

Hello,
Check that MAC filtering is not enabled on the Livebox.
Don't forget to put the Livebox in association mode before connecting your PC!

Listen, if you have a router, restart it and wait --- 15-20 seconds and then reboot it. It's often due to the router.

It's just that the router is kind of (overheating) but it's nothing serious, you just need to disconnect it and reconnect it and there you go, access is restored now. --

No, I've tried many times. After calling customer service, they told me it was related to the IP, but unfortunately my computer crashed at that moment -_-. When I look at the connection details, there is no default gateway or DNS server...
Mstr --> I established the connection by making the association. And on the address of my Livebox (on the site), it says that my computer is accepted, so it’s in sync.
It’s a configuration issue at the IP level, all of that...
Moreover, the IPs are not the same between the Livebox site and that of my established connection.

Of course, you would have an address assigned like 169.x.x.x, right?
Try restarting your PC, it's a problem with the dhcp.

Don't worry, I know very well how a box works, it's my job :D.
If the livebox is in DHCP, your PC is set to automatic configuration, you're putting the box in association mode beforehand, and there's no MAC filtering, I honestly don't see where the problem could be.
When you run the Windows troubleshooter, where does it get stuck, and what error does it return?
Can you copy the result of an ipconfig from the PC that doesn't have internet?

I just wanted to help BrincedeLu,
Now if it's your job...
In any case, it's definitely not a MAC address filtering issue or a problem with the pairing button, since their PC is already connected to the box.
So there's a problem with the DHCP, solution, renew the DHCP of the PC's network card, or simpler, restart the PC, but I'm just saying...

I will try to restart. I will keep you updated. Thank you very much.
Otherwise, how do I renew the DHCP of my card?

In restarting, it's the simplest thing, otherwise it depends on your OS.
If Windows, for example, you can type in the command prompt IPCONFIG/RELEASE, then IPCONFIG/RENEW.

That you don't have a DNS or a default gateway doesn't shock me.
However, you should have an IP like 192.168.0.XX and a subnet mask of 255.255.255.0.
But then again, by leaving "automatic IP assignment," it should work.
When you enter 192.168.1.1 in your browser, do you get to the menu of your livebox? If so, then your computer/livebox connection is good. You need to see if there's something to configure in your livebox.

Well, my computer gave up on me yesterday... -_-
I tried restarting my computer, but no change.
I had already tried turning off and on my livebox, but no difference either.
Vahia --> When I enter the IP address of my livebox in the address bar, it takes me to my livebox but because I'm connected via ethernet.
At the same time, I'm connected via Wi-Fi to try to connect that way.
My Wi-Fi connection is detailed like this: IPv4 Address: 169.254.219.51, not really the same as my livebox. Is that normal?
My subnet mask is 255.255.0.0 and I don't have any other important info.
While my ethernet connection: IPv4 Address: 192.168.1.10
Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
Default IPv4 Gateway: 192.168.1.1
DHCP Server: 192.168.1.1
IPv4 DNS Server: 192.168.1.1
I'm sure I can fix this.. But how?
Shouldn't I enter this information into my network adapter?

I have never seen an IP address of this type on Wi-Fi connections. Either it's a new "format" used by Orange, or it's me whose memory is slipping.
You might try setting your IP (of the Wi-Fi card) manually with an IP of the type 192.168.1.XX. Right now, without having the computer in front of me, it's difficult to say what's wrong...

I don't know what's happening.. I set protocols 4 and 6 to automatic for finding IP addresses and DNS servers automatically but it changes nothing. I tried reconnecting to my Livebox after starting the pairing with the Wi-Fi button on the Livebox, but nothing works.
For your information, it's an Orange Livebox.
When I try to connect, I'm not even asked for my network key anymore! Yet on my Livebox's website, the WPA protection (I believe) is activated.
And it gives me:
The connection has failed.

I'm going to try restarting my router, just in case.
