YouTube: can't skip a video!

Solved

Hello everyone,

For a few days now, I've been having problems with YouTube and video playback.

In a few words:

1. The progress bar indicating the loading of the video suddenly appears as if the entire video is already loaded, and the download progress no longer appears; we can no longer see the loading progress.

2. In this state, when I try to forward a video by 1 minute, 2.34 minutes, or 10 minutes, it doesn't matter, the cursor goes to the position I want, but the video content systematically returns to the beginning, making it impossible to watch a video at a specific point!!! It always restarts from the beginning!!!!

From this observation, I conducted the following tests:

A. Disabled the Chrome extension related to YouTube, "Turn Off the Lights," in this case.
RESULT = > Problem persists

B. Browsed in "Privacy" mode (CTRL+SHIFT+N).
RESULT = > YouTube works well!!!

I then decided to log out of my Google account, to be "anonymous" while still using Chrome fully.

C. Browsed in standard mode (Not logged into my Google account)
RESULT = > Problem persists

So I decided to test YouTube on IE version 8.0.6001 ...

D. Used YouTube with IE
RESULT = > YouTube works well!!!

Finally, based on that, I did one last test under Chrome but using the "IE-Tab" extension.

E. Used YouTube with IE-Tab (Chrome extension allowing the use of the IE engine within Chrome’s interface)
RESULT = > YouTube works well!!!

In short, in conclusion, I would say that I have a "partial" problem with Chrome (or Flash), but I can't figure out where it comes from!!!

I searched a bit online, including the help forum and incident alerts at Google, but I haven't found anything substantial except a few people experiencing the problem, and all requests for info remained unanswered!!!!

Could someone please help us???

Thank you in advance, looking forward to your replies!!!

Configuration: Windows XP / Windows Vista / Chrome 9.0.597.98 (Default)

Yes, it works!
Thank you very much Romaric for the idea, I hadn't thought of that.
Now, the question is "why"?
But the main thing is that it worked.

Thanks again

Maybe too many cookies, maybe some cookies that are too old...
