Phillips TV Watchdog

Question

Hello,
I have a Philips TV model 14PT1574/01C that I turned off in standby mode, but unfortunately, I just broke the remote control.

I bought a Philips universal remote control, but I can't program it because the TV is in standby.

I can't get it to respond; I've turned it off using the button on the front, unplugged it, and nothing works—it's still in standby even after I turned it off and on using the power button on the front.

Is there a way to get this TV out of standby without a remote control?

I have exactly the same problem, it would be cool if someone had an answer... The remote control no longer works and the button only allows me to turn the TV off or put it in standby mode.

By any chance, have you tried holding down the power button?

Yes, 5 seconds, 10 seconds, nothing happens. I'm starting to despair! ^^

Generally, for a universal remote control, you need to enter the code of the device you want to use or use the remote-to-remote learning feature. Since the remote provided with the TV no longer works, you have no choice but to opt for the first solution.

I entered the code list, but the remote doesn't validate the codes because it doesn't receive any response from the TV.

I have already tried all the buttons on the front panel, and there is no response.
