USB key as a floppy

Hello,
I'm having a hard time getting my USB drive to be recognized as an external floppy disk (USB) by a BIOS that only boots from FDD (and not HDD).

In fact, I'm trying to reinstall Windows (formatting...) on a Qosmi G20 laptop whose optical drive is faulty. I will do without replacing it for now since it requires disassembling part of the laptop (keyboard, etc.).

So, I'm attempting to emulate a bootable floppy disk on my USB drive (8GB) because the old BIOS (updated) only supports booting from USB if it is a floppy (fdd - fdc).

Therefore, I believe I need to ensure that there is no MBR and that the BOOT SECTOR starts at the beginning of the 1.44 MB disk (2GB max, I believe) AND make all of it bootable.

But I don't know how to do that.

Configuration: Qosmio G20 | 2GB | WinMC |

Sorry Flo, --> I am an affiliate seller on the brink of nausea ~ bad response on my part. That said, I rarely stop myself from saying what I think, and the text alone unfortunately doesn't always convey the tone of an idea; I will pay more attention.

2 - There is indeed a way to pass a USB stick off as a floppy disk, especially with WinImage and others, but I haven't managed to do it yet.

As for USB floppies, the idea is not to buy something that will only be used once if possible, as it goes against the idea of sustainable development.

There is no recovery partition, even hidden.
