Hello,
I have a Blackberry Torch, and for the past few days, it has been displaying an "error" message:
"The certificate has expired or is not yet valid." It then offers me the options to "continue," "end the connection," or "view the certificate." If I view the certificate, it shows "geoloc1.sfr.FR."
I don't know what to do to make it stop; I don't even know what a certificate is!
Can you please help me?
Thank you,
Sophie.

Hey! I had the same problem, I was really bothered but all you need to do is set the time and date correctly (in options --> date/time)! There you go, I hope that helps you :)

Hello, I have exactly the same problem, and I don't remember what I clicked on, I think it was continue, and I can no longer send texts or make calls... but I can use BBM and the internet.

Hello,
Otherwise, go to settings > advanced > certificates (the path might not be exact but it's around there) > we locate the shady certificate and remove it.
On BlackBerry, we often get this error message following the uninstallation of software that used the internet connection (to display ads or something..)

Hello everyone,
I'm encountering the same invalid certificate issue on my BlackBerry Torch. After reading your responses, I tried adjusting the date and time, but they were correct... I'll see how it goes...
What I previously attempted was to restore a backup (via the BlackBerry software on PC), but it was ineffective for this certificate problem.
See you soon, then...

I found it... it was an "RSS feed" certificate that had become obsolete. So I removed this feed from those I monitor, and everything is back to normal.
