Remove Shared Memory

Hello,

I have an Asus HD 5450 512MB DDR2 graphics card and 4GB of RAM. The memory of the graphics card can be shared, but my seller told me it automatically sets itself to dedicated memory so it’s not shared. My problem is that my system is causing it to be shared. I looked in the BIOS, but it's in English and I don't understand any of it. My board is MSI 770-G45. I tried other cards with dedicated memory and still have the same problem. I don't know how to disable it. If you could help me, please.

Thank you!

Configuration: Windows 7 / Firefox 3.6.13

but I don't have an onboard card on my motherboard, so how do I disable all that?

You don’t understand, what the salesperson told you is nonsense,

for example, out of my 8GB of RAM, 4GB of shared memory can be used for my HD5850 with 1GB,
this in no way prevents me from using my entire 8GB for my processor,

using DDR2 memory that runs at 10GB/s for my graphics card that runs at 144GB/s with GDDR5 would be pointless and would lose more than half of the transfer speed of the PCI-Express x16 2.0 bus, which would drastically reduce performance,
that's just one example...., your HD5470 is just about good for using 256-512MB of dedicated RAM.

Good evening, exactly unless we had DDR5 on our motherboards but that's not for tomorrow yet.

Yes, and not to mention that processors only use a 64-bit memory bus, while graphics cards use memory buses ranging from 64 to 512 bits, which greatly increases speed.
