Yes, it needs to be done each time. It's not a big problem. An acceptable "better than nothing" in short. As for the "no sound," that's normal: When you were connected via SCART, the connection carried both sound and image; when connected via VGA or HDMI, the connection only carries the image, so you need to add a "sound" connection. This is not a defect of the television, and Boulanger or anyone else would see no reason to invoke any warranty.

After several phone calls to Boulanger's customer service, they found nothing more to tell me than to check with SONY! So strong during the warranty period, guys, you won't regret it, for sure!!!
I found the solution by myself; if the TV displays out of standard, you need to lower the resolution of the connected devices to 576p or 720p, no more! After that, do not install their crappy updates that do nothing more than set the time to -1 hour, good luck finding your way through the manual menu!! Good luck. As for the sound that disappears, you have to restart everything, search for channels, giving it a pin code, otherwise there's nothing you can do! Still quite stubborn and complicated, this SONY!!!!
