Hello!
I have had this problem for so long when I start my PC that I finally decided to ask for help. I can't even enter DOS by pressing F2 on my PC. It shows this message after, and if I'm unlucky enough to press F2, the message will just hang and I have to restart the PC by holding down the button for 10 seconds. If someone could tell me what I should do, please! Thank you very much.

Your error message means, well I think your PC is equipped with an intrusion detector either at the BIOS level or at the case level.

Yes, I think it was when I decided to set a password for the BIOS that everything started. We have children who played in the BIOS while watching the F2, and the little ones probably thought it would be cool to take a look, so they put the drive out of order. So that's why I set a password to access the BIOS.
I tried to reboot the PC by removing the battery, and now it’s just a black screen... nothing opens but everything seems to work anyway. I am really lost.
I had an OptiPlex G1 450MTBR BIOS Revision A07 Phoenix Technologies.
Where is the reset for this PC? I removed the battery, but I think I really messed it up, didn’t I?

Okay, I think the problem comes from there since you wanted to set a password at the BIOS level.
Did you still try to open your computer mechanically?
Were you able to enter the BIOS by tapping the F2 key at startup, as you need to reset the BIOS to factory settings?
As for the motherboard battery, it doesn't matter that you removed it.

Ok! Yes, I believe that's it, and I actually wanted to change that upon entering by pressing F2, but it keeps asking for that, and the message comes back and blocks everything... there’s no chance to get into the BIOS and change the settings.
Furthermore, after replacing the battery, the PC screen remains black and doesn't turn on at all, so did the graphics card fail? I will have to put in a new card to see, or if not, I need to try rebooting the PC myself.

Heumm! I found it, but I'll need help again. When I reinserted my card, the PC reconnected with my old graphics card that was inactive, so now my PC won't start without this card; it's on the edge while my second graphics card is elsewhere. Is there a way to reopen the PC with the correct graphics card? I really need to get it running... My kids want their PC, and at the same time, I think they shouldn't have done what they did, but still... it worries mom all this lol.

Well, there must be a way to reset the BIOS to factory settings on the motherboard by manipulating jumpers, but I need to do some research, so a little patience please.

To summarize:
Remove all internal peripherals (video card, sound card on PCI slot that you could have installed) and external ones to restore it to factory settings.
Give me the number of your motherboard as well as the manufacturer; the motherboard is the board where the battery is located.

The first number was close to the Dell name with the number on a paper stuck to the motherboard and the other was on a big chip further down at the bottom in large print. Near the battery there was nothing.
I would have to take a picture if I'm really not hitting the mark because there are so many numbers.

Well, I disconnected all the peripherals and what I found is a large serial number attached to the motherboard... it must finally be the right one.

No! He rebooted with the old graphics card that wasn't working already when I put the battery back in. I need to find a way to reopen it and see in the back specifically, but with the right graphics card. She put the faulty graphics card back in even though it was still recognized by the BIOS... it should have been uninstalled when I installed the second graphics card, but I wasn't the one who installed all that, so I didn't know about it before.

Indeed, since I don't have a serial number or manufacturer for your motherboard, this is going to be very difficult. I would suggest reinstalling Windows, but it wouldn't change anything at the BIOS level. To make matters worse, your PC won't boot anymore. Ideally, someone who has the same machine as you with documentation would need to tell you which jumpers to adjust to "reset" this infamous motherboard, provided it hasn't completely failed. I have a big problem with my DELL LATITUDE C610 computer. It is protected by a password!!
Every time I turn it on, it asks me for a password. In fact, I bought it from someone (second-hand) for a
symbolic price. The important thing is how I can access it without the system normally; I would like it to work in
its initial state. When it starts, it loads the BIOS, then it displays the message on the screen: "this computer
system, #GGR3G0J-595B, is protected by a password authentication system. You cannot access the data on this
computer without the correct password."
It also displays on the same screen (please type in the primary or administrator password and press (ENTER).
I know all that you have to say, but I haven't managed to enter the Windows operating system or the contents of
the computer. In fact, the BIOS REVISION is A07.
