Hello,

I am using a
TNTSAT SAGEM DTR 94160S HD decoder with a dual tuner.

After a few attempts, I am unable to export a recorded movie to a USB stick (message: check that the USB disk is formatted in FAT32) nor to my usual external hard drive
that I use for my PC with my photos (very loud "beep beep beep" sound as soon as the hard drive is connected to the SAGEM socket)

Thank you in advance if you can shed some light on this!

Configuration: vista 32 sp1 freebox v4 non-degrouped area.

    Hello
I recently got this decoder and I'm having the same problem. Are you able to watch a movie with the USB key on this decoder? When I connect it, it's recognized on the screen, but nothing happens!

      Hello,
The Sagem only recognizes USB devices formatted in FAT32:
Check your devices with your PC, the more recent ones are in NTFS...
Once you have ensured that your USB stick or hard drive is in FAT32, make sure that your file to be transferred does not exceed 4 GB... the limit in FAT32...
If it exceeds, split the file in two...
      Best regards

Despite having a 700 MB file and being in FAT32, nothing works...

      HELLO,
My problem: I can save to a USB stick or hard drive without any issues, but reading on a computer or other TVs is negative.
      Thank you for your responses.

On a USB key, formatted in FAT32, it is possible to export and then import a video on the Sagem terminal. However, to play it on a TV or a computer, you need to convert the file to AVI, MPEG2, or another format. You will find free trial converters online.

Either this device is a scam, or the Sagem technicians are completely incompetent. I encountered the same recovery and transfer issue on another identical device, and it never worked. For 6 months, I battled with Sagem, sent the device back under warranty, tried a bunch of manipulations that were suggested to me, all contradictory, and I finally gave up. Furthermore, when you have them on the phone, they treat you like an idiot, with questions like "Did you properly connect the power plug...?". STAY AWAY FROM THIS EQUIPMENT.

    Hi

My movie is in AVI format on my USB stick, is this format compatible with the decoder?
Otherwise, what video format is needed?
    Thank you

This is not an answer but a question for my personal case.

    Hello
so far everything is going well with the recording on the internal disk and exporting to the USB stick and external hard drive; where it gets complicated is for playing it on another TV or PC. The file comes out in .TS format; AVI would be perfect. I've searched for conversion software, but so far it doesn't seem to be working. The Sagem technician told me to format in FAT32 and use an external hard drive with separate power, which I have done. Thank you for your help.

      Hello
I have been using the same Sagem 94160SHD for a year now, I wanted to increase the capacity of the terminal from 160GB, which is too little!! with a 500GB Lacie hard drive
My goal is to store the videos and be able to take them and put them back as if I had a larger hard drive without wanting to move the videos elsewhere.
IMPOSSIBLE, maybe because I’m not "qualified" enough
      I formatted it to FAT32
Do you have a solution?? Can you help me?
Thank you in advance for your consideration
      Goodbye
