Hello,
I am running Windows XP SP3. I installed Games For Windows Live, and when I launch it, it asks me to install an update (Windows Live ID Sign-in Assistant). I install it, and it shows me:

I haven't found any solutions, so please refrain from spamming the topic with "go look it up on Google" for no reason.
Thank you.

Hello,
I also had a problem launching "Games for Windows":
It kept asking me to reinstall the Windows Live ID Sign-in Assistant, which I tried to do countless times.
Anyway, it didn't work, so I found a rather simple solution:
Go to local drive > program files (x86) > Games for Windows - Live > client >
Then create a shortcut of "GFWLClient(.exe)" on your desktop.
No problem running the program from that file, at least for me.
I hope this helps :)

Your response is effective. Incredible that Microsoft isn't resolving the issue; their customer support pages say nothing about this problem... One would think they want to drive the customer away. The same type of issue occurs when we buy licenses on Steam, you have to go through a whole process on the Windows marketplace; in short, you need to be a computer engineer for something paid... normally it should work when it's paid for... perhaps that's why Android and iDevices are thriving... In any case, thank you for the response.
