Setting Up eMule with High ID for Beginners

Hello,

So, I have a problem. I am an eMule user and it was on high ID until now. This weekend, I did a bit of cleaning on my PC (including uninstalling eMule and installing Bit Defender Internet Security 2008 that I just bought). I reinstalled eMule and since then, it’s running on low ID. Last time, a friend helped me and I think he opened the eMule ports for me. Unfortunately, I can't remember how to do it myself. Could you help me? I spend a lot of time on my PC and I know how to do quite a few things, but I'm pretty much a novice in this area. What do I need, what should I do? There are already many topics about this on the forum, but I haven't found anything that could really help me. I'm running on XP for your information. Could you lend me a hand? Thanks in advance. See you soon.

Configuring Emule for High ID is super simple once you know what you're doing and where you're going ^^!
First, you need to go to the PREFERENCES in Emule in the CONNECTION category to find the TCP and UDP numbers (ports, that is :)) and note them down!

Once you have the numbers, you must configure your router. Most often, you access the router by typing in the address bar http://192.168.1.1! For users with a FREEBOX, it's different; you need to go directly through your FREE account!

Once in the router, just enter the TCP and UDP ports, and in the IP field, you need to enter your PC's IP address (192.168.1.*)!

Restart Emule and there you go, you are in HIGH ID!

If it's not clear, send me an email to my CçM account, I will respond as quickly as possible!

I remind you that downloading is a crime unless you own the original in duplicate! (I had to remind this formality :D!)

Hi, I wanted to ask you a small question, maybe a silly one, but I'm having trouble understanding something you didn't specify about the post you wrote to help us set eMule to high ID :D. You say that in the address bar we need to enter http://192.168.1.1 but isn't this number different for me like for everyone else? If it's the same for everyone, I entered my username and my password but it's still not working, can you help me?
