TV: picture disappearing!

Hello,
I don't know if I'm in the right section? Television!
My neighbor gave me his television because he decided to live without one!
He bought it 3 years ago but hadn't turned it on for 2 years already!
It worked out for me to get it since mine was approaching 20 years old and I gained a large screen!
The problem is that it's not really a gift.. it doesn't work!
It's a Diginium D28 model, 135 watts operating voltage: 230v ac 50Hz System: pal secam bg ll" Channels: 100 +2 AV purchased new in July 2007!
I replaced my antique TV with the new one connected to my TVHD Neuf
The first two evenings it worked perfectly, very clear image!
And then on the third evening, the image disappeared all of a sudden but the sound continued to work! When I turn it back on it works... at first for 10 minutes and then the image disappears again! Now when I turn it on, the image disappears after 10 seconds!
I reconnected my old TV to see if the problem was with the internet but it works very well with the latter!
Do you think this "recent" TV is a poisoned gift? Do you have an idea of what the problem might be? Is it worth repairing (cost)?
