Hello everyone I just bought a micro SD card with its adapter, but my card reader doesn't want to recognize it My micro SD is a King Max 256MB and my card reader is a Top Success 12/1. The reader works with a standard SD card (the one from my camera) but not with the one from my phone. It's new so I can't format it. Thank you to anyone who can help me.

It's a reader problem! Apparently, older multi-card readers (mine is about 2 years old) can't work with micro SD cards. I solved the problem with my IPAq, which recognizes the card => I put my micro SD card and its adapter into my IPAq, loaded it with the data I wanted after connecting my IPAq to my PC, and then I just had to put the card in the phone :-) However, you need to have another device that can be connected to the PC, which is probably not the case for everyone...

Écoute, j'avais acheté ma carte mémoire micro SD 16 GB quand j'étais en 3ème et maintenant je suis en 1ère. Elle m'a lâché, je ne sais pas comment ; j'étais sur Deezer avec mon portable aujourd'hui et subitement, je vois que mon portable ne répond plus. J'appuie sur la touche de verrouillage, rien, retour, rien, je veux éteindre mon portable, rien non plus. Alors je change de portable, je mets ma carte mémoire dedans, je m'attends à voir l'icône de ma carte mémoire, mais toujours rien. Je retire, je la remets, toujours rien.
Ensuite, je vais dans les réglages / paramètres de mémoire / carte mémoire et mon portable m'indique que la carte mémoire n'est pas reconnue. Ça commence à me faire peur puisque j'ai toutes mes photos, images, mes musiques et toutes mes vidéos !!
Après, j'appelle mon service client pour leur expliquer mon problème et ils me disent qu'ils ne font pas ce genre de réparations là, donc je ne sais pas quoi faire.

Hello, I bought a memory card that worked fine at first, but two weeks later it stopped working. Let me explain:

Two weeks later, I connected my adapter to my PC with the memory card inside, and there was a problem; my memory card was not detected. I tried with another memory card adapter, but the same issue occurred – no memory card detected. The PC indicates to insert a disk into the disk drive.

I would say there are not thirty-six solutions... since it was WORKING...

1- The micro card is not properly inserted into your adapter.
2- The driver for the micro SD card reader is not working... reinstall it just in case...
3- your adapter is no longer working... hmm; gonna have to change it

I have a 256MB microSD card for my digital camera, and it has been working fine with around fifty photos saved and about 200 photos possible to take. And now, I took some more photos (about ten), and when I went to look at all my saved photos from the beginning, there were only 4 left (the last four photos taken). All the others had disappeared.
Do you have a solution to recover my photos, please!!!!!!!!
Isn't there some sort of internal memory that keeps everything???? knowing that I have never formatted my card.
How can I retrieve them??????

Well, for me it's the opposite:

- my new Sandisk microsd card is hardly ever recognized by my new my501Ci phone, while it works fine in the PDA or my laptop using the provided adapter.
- my phone recognizes other micro SD cards, and my SD card seems to be recognized in other mobile phones (at least one SAMSUNG).

So be careful with this brand of microSD paired with a Sagem MY501Ci....

I think I have the same problem as you. I have a Sagem My 850 Carat and I just bought a Sandisk micro SD, but my phone doesn't recognize it, even though I tried it on a Nokia and it worked fine. What did you do then? Is there another brand of micro SD that is compatible with Sagem? Honestly, I find these mobile phones really not user-friendly at all, and I'm seriously considering changing my phone brand...

Hello,
I managed to work around the issue of my Micro SD being recognized with its adapter.
I plugged in my Flash card reader with the SD card from my camera inside; the computer detects the reader and the SD card.
A window opens offering me several options, I do nothing, I close this window, then I remove the SD card from the reader without unplugging it from the USB, and instead, I put the Micro SD into its adapter.
Finally, I go to my computer, double-click on the Flash card reader, and voilà, I'm on my Micro SD. I can drag files there... etc.
I know it's not convenient, but for me, it works.

Personally, for the person with the Sagem my501 CI, change your phone immediately, you have no idea of the amount of crap you're going to have with it! (of course, if you can afford it)
. I know someone who had the same problem as you, the issue doesn't come from the brand of your micro SD but rather from the phone!
. My brother had the same one, impossible to set an MP3 song as a ringtone (maybe you don't have this problem, but I'm just showing you it's a real piece of junk ;) )

Hi, so I have the Sagem my 501 c and I confirm, I have the same problem: first, we can't use MP3s as ringtones, and secondly, I can't send MP3s to my SD card but always to the phone, which means that basically my card is useless and the capacity of this player remains nil!!

Hello everyone!

I just bought a 2GB micro SD from Dane-Elec (Toshiba) for my Samsung Z300.
The phone can read the card but cannot format it.
My PC categorically refuses to accept it (I've tried with 3 card readers: Epson RX500, Western Digital Media, and a generic USB reader).
I can still transfer files using Samsung PC Studio, but unfortunately, it doesn't transfer files larger than 6MB.

Then I tried putting the memory card in my camera and, miraculously, the card works when connected to the PC.

I also have a 256MB micro SD which has never had any issues (formatted in FAT32).

So the solution apparently is to have a camera or to borrow one.
