pcsx2 too slow

Question

Hi  actually, I found everything and my pcsx2 works but it is too slow, is there a special configuration or modification to set up   could someone help me? Thanks

the emulator is poorly programmed, the emulation is more tied to your CPU performance than the graphics card in terms of frame-rate. I have an AMD 2600+ overclocked to 2.3 GHz with a 7600gs graphics card (pixel shader 3.0, pixel pipeline 12, 5 vortex) also overclocked to 525 MHz for the GPU bus and I barely get 25 frames on Resident Evil Outbreak 2, while you need at least 40-50 to play in a "normal" way, and the GSDX plugin doesn’t work.

Well, for the news it’s going to be tough because it’s thanks to you that I know there’s a PS2 emulator, so...
Then you have to see if your PC is strong enough to run a PS2 emulator; it needs to be powerful. And if you have several other programs running in the background, it's not surprising that it lags. Finally, since it’s a fairly new emulator, you can’t expect too much for now.

Yeah, but still give me the sites where I can get informed or find my mistakes  It annoys me when I see the startup and everything when it’s slow, but well... let's hope I can resolve it.

However, my plugins seem to be working fine.

I also have the game and I couldn't get it to work because of the pixel shader of my graphics card: an old Geforce4 MX 4000
I swapped between my 2 PCs and I have a Fx5500 which has Pixel Shader 2.0 and now it runs but very, very slowly!!

Hello, I have a problem with my emulator. First, I find it very slow, but that's not my main issue. When I run a game in a normal ISO, it takes me to the browser with the two memory cards and the CD below. When I click on the CD, the screen goes black for a few seconds and then returns to the browser with the two memory cards and the CD. I’ve tried several times and with different games, but it’s the same; the game won’t start. I’d really like to know what this is due to because I’d love to play. :)

Hello. PCSX2 gives me spikes from 4 fps to 150 fps. I give up on Sony lol. My configuration: INTEL CONROE E6600 (2x2.4ghz) 3 gigs of ddr2 ram and a LEADTECK GFORCE 7950GT. Helpppppppp !!!!!!

Same for me, I have Budokai 3, and it's impossible to play at a lower resolution; it takes about a minute to access the menu (it shouldn’t take more than 5 seconds in the game, really). My PC isn't crap, but it's not a powerhouse either, but honestly, it's relatively recent, so I don't think we’ll ever be able to play a PS2 game comfortably on PC...

Peut-être que chaque ordinateur a besoin d'une configuration spéciale, alors si c'est le cas, mon PC a un processeur de 3 GHz Pentium 4, 512 Mo de RAM et une ATI x1300 dont 256 Mo dédiés. Hello, my PCSX2 emulator works with any game (which it reads thanks to my CD drive), and then I noticed that I often want to play a racing game (notably the first "Need For Speed Underground") and this game lags like crazy, even all the games I would say. I have an Xbook CL51 with the following specifications:  -512MB of RAM -80GB hard drive -Intel (R) 82852/82855 GM/GME graphics card with 64MB  When I open my emulator to play Dragon Ball Budokai Tenkaichi 3 (whether downloaded via torrent or the ISO I created myself with CloneDVD), I use the GSnull Driver 0.10.1 plugin. There is no display, but the MS-DOS window indicates that the game runs at 59fps. Why didn't they create a GSDX plugin for SSE1? Because, even though my card is SSE2 compatible, when I use gsdx SSE2, it tells me that SSE2 is not supported! The emulator must have issues, I think xDD! Now, I'm looking for a way to run it with the ZeroGS KOSMOS (non-SSE2) 0.96.0 plugin! I'll keep you updated if there are any developments ^^   PS: I'm using versions 0.9.6 and 0.9.7 beta of PCSX2 ^^

Hi! I noticed that while playing Castlevania Curse of Darkness with the GSdx 2693 0.1.16 SSE4.1 graphics plugin, the game slowed down when enemies appeared. So I switched the game to windowed mode with the Zero GS 0.97.1 graphics plugin to see how it affected the FPS... verdict... I'm running at 60 FPS with variations of 0.1 to 0.3, so let's just say it's constantly at 60 FPS, and the game still slows down. The slowdown issues are therefore coming from PCSX, so I don't think you need a high-end machine to run it. It's up to the creators of PCSX2 to release updates to fix all this. I found the ultimate solution to make it fast you just need a good PC, meaning if you have a dual core, you need at least a 3GHz processor and for RAM, you need 3 to 4GB or more if you can, but 3GB is more than enough. The problem is the processor; if it's not 3GHz, you won't be able to enjoy it with all the games and for other PCs, it's almost the same; you just need a good processor ~~kinda enough, you know~~ well, I hope I helped you and see you next time
