Sony Ericsson and SIM card issue

Hello,
for about a year I have been using a Sony Ericsson W580i with a Bouygues plan, everything was working very well until this morning when my phone says "insert correct SIM card" even though it is properly inserted and it's still the same one......... where could the problem come from and how can I solve it? I don't think it's a problem with the SIM card since it works perfectly in another phone.

It seems to be a national issue with the Ericsson, LG, and Samsung, according to customer service and a Bouygues store in Paris. We have to wait for Bouygues to fix it, but they don't seem very rushed, and what's pathetic is that they are unable to notify us even though they know how to send us bills and advertisements by email.
