Hello,
Someone put deodorant next to my laptop while it's ventilating. I know I'm a bit too strict about the security of my PC, but is it a concern for the components of the PC that it's ventilating with "scented" air?
Thank you ^^'
Configuration: Windows XP / Opera 9.80

Good evening,
Having never tested it, I can only give you my "logical" opinion:
it's not the smell that is harmful (except for our human nostrils). It's more the particles released by the deodorant (the liquid itself) that can stick to the fans if the person was really too close, but frankly, I doubt that your PC absorbed anything. The droplets from the deodorant would need to fall directly onto the fans and this needs to happen every day for your PC to get dirty faster than expected.
But still, it would be wiser to avoid deodorants, cigarettes, food, drinks... around a computer.
