Hello everyone,
I bought a second-hand Uniwell TX 870 touch screen register, I can't connect it to my PC, I've tried with PLM 2000, Lynx... nothing works: ecr time out. If someone knows about it and can guide me... it would really help me out.. I'm opening a store in two weeks.
Thank you.

Hello,
I ordered a brand new touchscreen cash register for my restaurant 2 months ago from http://www.megatron-tactile.com and I am really happy with it.
Moreover, the prices are really interesting, so I invite you to check out the link above.
Hoping this helps you :) -
Is it an RS-232 version or an Ethernet RJ45?
If it is an RS-232 version (serial port), the driver needs to be installed and it probably won't work with all operating systems... -

It depends on the connection... what is it?
According to the manufacturer, you should have 3 software programs delivered with:
* ePOS Office (Back Office Software for sales analysis and stock control)
* Tensai 2000 (program loader/IRC report, PC-IRC communication)
* PLM 2000 (program loader, one to one communication)
The first one should be the analysis software,
the second the communication software with a PC
and the third a software for communication between the cash registers of the same type
(at least that's what I deduce... it's not available on the manufacturer's website)

Hello, thank you for taking care of my case. I tested with PLM, I didn't find Tensai. I tested the link provided by the Fit company that manages Uniwell in France, but I believe it doesn't support this version.
With PLM I keep getting a timeout error. -
I also bought a Uniwell 870 cash register through JDC, but they did not provide me with the user manual. I got angry with them and therefore did not pay the maintenance fee they were asking for, but I don't know how to change the VAT from 5.5% to 7%!
If someone could help me!
Thanks in advance.-
Hi, I sold my car since then, but I can try to get a copy of the manual if you want, leave me your email.
Do you have the cable that allows you to connect to PLM 2000?
If you don't have it, you will have to do everything manually, using the touchpad.
If it's just for your accounting, you can also recover your HT at 5.5 and apply the 7% when you make your cash book.
See you later, Jérôme.

Hello, to connect the cash register to your PC, you need a DB9 (RS232) crossed cable with a specific wiring diagram (the diagram should be described in the manual or on your CD-ROM).
To change the VAT, prices, items, etc., simply turn the key to the SP position, press 1, then Cashier, and the menu will appear. You just need to select the correct menu with the arrows and confirm with the ENTER key, change what you need for your programming, and validate with the ENTER key. Then exit with the CLR key, close the cash register, return to the R position, and that's it. -
Hello,
Just for your information, I bought a new cash register for the price of a used one and it works really well.
