very slow download!! Solved

Question

Hi,   My problem is that when I download a large file it takes over an hour, it's too slow, how can I make it download faster?   Thank you for your help   Francy   P.S.: I have Windows XP

Hello,

On the Internet, download speed depends on two factors:
-The size of the file
-Your connection
*Your connection speed is very important; if you're on 56K, that's normal.
*The quality of your connection depends on your Internet Service Provider and the physical characteristics of your line (http://www.degrouptest.com)

After that, it might be your PC that's lagging, but for me, it only starts happening at around 12MB/s :p

Hi,

yes, it's true that the files are quite large, up to 800MB,
the connection is also slow, but when it’s small files, it goes quickly, it's done in 2 minutes.
I've been told that there are accelerator programs, do they work well?

Honestly, if the game has crap graphics it's faster, but if the graphics are amazing it takes longer, so you have to be patient.

First of all, if it takes a long time, it's because it comes from them; they probably don't have very good servers (they're going for savings, which is normal since it's become free). Normally, an MMO doesn't take less than 4 hours to download.

I highly recommend Internet Download Manager; it increases your speed by up to 40% (no joke). I downloaded 4 GB in 15 minutes with it. This software is incredible.
