Hello,
I, too, have come to realize that I fell victim to orange fil 88. Being an Orange customer for the 4 phones in the family, as well as for phone and internet services, I contacted Orange, who, of course, said it wasn't their fault. They have charged me 6 times for a total amount of 35 euros via my credit card. I immediately blocked it and filed a complaint.
If anyone knows how we can get reimbursed for this, it would be nice to let us know.
Thanks in advance

Hello,
I have also just noticed a recurring charge for several months, which occurs more or less regularly, between 1 and 3 times a month, from €5 to €10, in the name of "ORANGE FIL 88 44 NANTES CEDEX 1".
Digging through the forums, I see that this has been going on for at least 3 years.
Question for those who have been victims (hoping they are no longer):
Is there another method than blocking the credit card?
A place to find more comprehensive information about this scam?
Thank you in advance,
François

Hello everyone,
I have just become a victim of Orange fil 88. I have had several withdrawals since June ranging from 5 to 25 euros every two to three days, sometimes even twice in the same day. Following this, I immediately blocked my credit card and filed a complaint with the gendarmerie, and like others, I would like to know how to get reimbursed for this scam!

Hello everyone,
I have just been a victim of several fraudulent transactions concerning my debit card.. 5 transactions CB ORANGE FIL 88 or 75 depending on the case, on December 26, 2010, for a total amount of €225!
I had the same questions as you.. No insurance is normally required. For those affected by card transactions, the bank is liable.
Since a reform in July 2009, Article L333-18 OF THE MONETARY AND FINANCIAL CODE (available on Légifrance) states that
"In the event of an unauthorized payment operation reported by the user in the conditions provided for in Article L. 133-24, the payment service provider of the payer shall immediately refund the payer the amount of the unauthorized operation and, where applicable, restore the debited account to the state it would have been in had the unauthorized payment operation not taken place.
The payer and their payment service provider may contractually agree on an additional indemnity."
No insurance is required, as the bank is obliged to refund.
Regarding the reporting conditions, Article L.133-24 states that:
"The user of payment services shall report, without delay, to their payment service provider an unauthorized or incorrectly executed payment transaction and no later than thirteen months following the debit date under penalty of foreclosure unless the payment service provider has not provided them or made available the information relating to this payment operation in accordance with Chapter IV of Title I of Book III.
Except in cases where the user is a natural person acting for non-professional needs, the parties may agree on a separate timeframe from that provided for in this article."
I confirmed all this with the gendarmerie this morning. The bank is obliged to refund (I specifically mention for debit cards, I haven’t dealt with the rest), so it is the bank that must then file a complaint (which banks never do)! My banker told me this morning that they refund and then conduct an internal investigation to subsequently turn to the fraudster and obtain retrocessions.
Therefore, filing a complaint is not necessary, which facilitates the refund. However, I still find it outrageous to see that, in the end, the person committing debit card fraud may not necessarily be prosecuted!!!

Hello everyone
I too have been a victim of several fraudulent payments with my credit card numbers. I know the person who did this, and I will talk to her before going to file a complaint. I already know in advance that she won't admit to it; I know how that little SLP operates. We'll see how it goes.

I'm looking at my accounts this morning and there are 5 fraudulent transactions on my credit card: 3 from ORANGE VAD 48 and 2 from sfr.Rech ....
Complaint filed + card blocked
the bank refunds the 170 euros BUT I don't understand why these accounts aren't blocked since the scam has been going on ...... I suppose it's very, very strong and the police are powerless .......
it ultimately costs bank customers a lot!!!!
who knows if there is a NATIONAL or international complaint we can join for free???
THANK YOU

Hello, just like all of you, I had a charge of €258.90 on my account, a real scandal. Fortunately, the bank was super responsive and refused the payment, so there was no debit. I was still advised to block my card, which I did. However, I feel tainted because I can't file a complaint (!!!) since the charge hasn’t gone through, and God knows how much I want to put an end to these thieves! What can I do???
I just called Orange and finally spoke to a competent person who took the time to really listen to my problem.
I asked her if the transactions ORANGE FIL 75 and ORANGE FIL 88 were from them, and after a 15-minute wait while she did some research, she told me that Orange had nothing to do with it. However, she asked me to send my statement that shows these transactions (with the rest hidden) along with a letter explaining, as they have a special service for fraud. This also concerns them since their name is associated and it can be confusing! So I think the way to put an end to all of this is to inform ORANGE at the following address:
ORANGE - Customer mobile service
49 165 BLOIS CEDEX
ORANGE will surely weigh much more than our little isolated cases..!! Get to your letters! lol

Hello everyone. I was also a victim of a fraudulent withdrawal of 100 euros. However, it turns out that my card was stolen 6 days before this withdrawal. MY CARD WAS THEREFORE BLOCKED AT THAT TIME. But where does this impressive hacking network come from? This is a real network; the lesson is that you should never give out your bank details online, even on supposedly ultra-secure sites (including sites like PayPal that must have dirty hands). The web will never be completely secure! But what is the police doing?
I have also just been a victim of two withdrawals, one of 50 and the other of 100. However, I am not a customer of Orange. I gave my bank details online two months ago to a streaming download site. In my opinion, this is the only possible lead for this hacking.
Hello, I have just encountered the same problem as all of you and have taken the necessary steps with the bank. Ok! My bank is refunding me an amount of 500 euros that was stolen from my account for ORANGE FIL 88 top-ups. But what about the fraudster? And how do we initiate legal action and investigations against this person knowing that the gendarmerie did not take my complaint and that my bank does not want to file a complaint themselves? I have just received a new credit card but I am very afraid that this will continue. What can we do???
Contact me at any time to try together to discover what is happening with this regular fraud coming from ORANGE FIL 88.

Hello
Me too, end of September three withdrawals, $88, one of $10, $35, and $50... but some time later, there were withdrawals on my debit card... all in dollars with international fees... about 700 euros...
I reported it to my bank and filed a fraud claim... my bank is refunding me since I have insurance on my card...
But I should mention that I'm not on Orange nor for the internet either, but with another provider, and it's the same for us...
But emails are arriving in our inboxes pretending to be Free... and they tell us to update our information on the site... otherwise we will lose our services... but in doing so, they ask you to enter, for example, the code 5284 on your mobile to this number 88235 for instance... and all this twice... and from this process, they manage to do a lot... but what method do they use, I don't know more... and of course, to top it all off, the two free SMS... and from there, I think they can pull off... scams without a hitch...

Hello, I also just got scammed for 1100 euros in 5 withdrawals in September 2010!!! At the very beginning of the month 2 withdrawals of 304 euros, on September 30 1 more withdrawal of 304 euros and two of 100 euros, I blocked my credit card and filed a complaint. Yet I had recharged my phone in April, I don't even know if I will get reimbursed.
Do you have a credit card insurance? If so, it might work for getting reimbursed, but I’m waiting because I’m in the middle of it! I hope for our sake that we will be compensated. No one is really moving, even though purchases are sometimes made for flights with airlines such as EBOOKERSFR, or SNCF or ELVIA for the insurances, etc.... When it's titled ORANGE FIL 75 or ORANGE FIL 88, it's hard to know, but when they are well-known organizations, there's nothing we can do? Really!
Hello
I too am a victim of this abuse of 2 times 100 euros and a few extra euros, and they even made a trip of 575 euros. I wonder if it's the credit card that's to blame or if the automatic withdrawals are hacked. I have never used my credit card to pay or recharge my phone, the operators do not receive the money, but yet it disappears ????? They are very clever!!

Hello everyone,
I think I'm hallucinating reading all the messages I find about this "same scam that has been going on for several years..."
We have just become victims ourselves since 02/13/2011... we are over €1000 in withdrawals for:
ORANGE CARD FIL 75 and 88, SFR recharge Wep/wap, SFR VAD Card, Edreams limited Card and Bouygues Telecom Card...
12 debits in 3 days for different telephone operators... didn't the bank find that surprising?!? Luckily we noticed it while checking our accounts !!!!!!
Opposition at the bank, complaint filed with the police and card cut up but the transactions (which were made between 02/13 and 02/15) keep adding up every day.
The refund has started but it is rapidly depleting the bank account !!!
If anyone has any other recent information, please don't hesitate to share!!!

I also just had two credit card payments of 50 and 100 euros to Orange fil 88, even though I am not an Orange subscriber, two payments made this month on internet sites, yet I thought these sites were secure (Fnac and Geriatric Review). Have you been refunded by your bank? I called today and they told me that this is how it works after filing a complaint and making an opposition. Is there not a way to report this fraud and for them to look for the perpetrators because a complaint against X I don’t know if it will put an end to this network.
Me too, the same on 02/13 on an account we hadn't used for a while. Luckily we took a look at it, two withdrawals from Orange 88 and one from Cdiscount!!!
Total amount €632
So, a blockage was made on the card and a registered letter was sent to the bank, of course, since the account was no longer used, it was not funded, so we haven't put any money in it, we are waiting for news from the bank... to be continued.

Same on Thursday, I had two debits from ORANGE FIL 88 44 NANTES CEDEX, one of 100 and the other of 50 euros. I immediately blocked my credit card and I am going to file a complaint.
What scares me is that apparently this scam has been going on for years and even the most careful people fall victim to it. Are there really any serious investigations?
Now I don't dare to do anything online anymore...

Hello, we also fell victim to fraudulent withdrawals of 100 and 50 euros this Sunday, March 27. We will file a complaint and dispute it tomorrow.
I hope the bank will refund us because 150 euros is a significant amount for us.

Hello,
I am also a victim of operations on several sites including Orange Fil 88. I am trying to contact all the affected sites to intercept anything that has not yet been sent, because even though I should be reimbursed by the bank, I won't let these criminals get away with it!
As a result, does anyone have an email address for Orange (and not just a postal address like the one above) to report this information to them?

Disputing allows you to obtain a refund for one (or more) direct debit(s) after its execution.
1/ You can contest a direct debit, even if authorized (Art. L 133-25 C. mon. et fin.), provided that:
- you did not know the exact amount in advance,
- its amount exceeds what you could reasonably have expected.
The exact amount of the operation is not always known in advance. If you notice a debit on your account that exceeds the amount you could have reasonably expected, you may, within 8 weeks from the debit date, request your payment service provider (PSP) or your bank to refund the debited amount.
Your PSP (which can be your bank) must, within 10 working days following your complaint:
- either refund the operation in question,
- or justify its refusal to refund.
2/ Of course, you can contest an unauthorized direct debit (Art. L 133-18 and L 133-24 C. mon. et fin.)
In this case, the deadline to contest is 13 months from the date of the debit to the account. Your PSP (which can be your bank) must immediately refund the operation in question. However, it may cancel this refund if it turns out retrospectively that you authorized this direct debit.

Well, I've just been hacked too, it dates back to 21/11/11, starting tomorrow I'm going to oppose my bank.
It's easier to be fined by the police for minor issues, but when it comes to investigating and stopping this kind of fraud, everything seems impossible. Our poor France is not for honest citizens, but for criminals.
I am horrified.... I just checked my account because I knew I was probably a bit overdrawn and I see on my bank statement/email that yesterday, on 12/12/12 (what a great date indeed!!!), I was charged 3 times for a total of €100 (€15, €5, and €75) for the account of Orange fil 88! I have SFR as my operator so it definitely raised a red flag for me! I hope that if I contact my bank first thing tomorrow morning, they will be able to block the transaction although I suspect it might already be too late... or at least refund me? Reading all these messages left on this site denouncing this fraud is chilling!
It's truly outrageous that nothing is being done to eradicate this scam!! I am like you, an honest person struggling to manage my budget every month. It makes you want to throw it all away and do like our grandparents with a good old sock of savings in the closet!!
I hope I will be able to get justice!! I am so upset!! Good luck to those who are already in this situation and for others, be vigilant....

Welcome to the club, I got scammed like all of you here with CB transactions ORANGE FIL 88, BOUYGUES TELECOM NEUILLY, ... it's monstrous today in 2012 with the resources we have that the authorities do not put an end to this circus!!! Nicolas Sarkozy had his bank account hacked last year and by putting the means in place they found the perpetrators in a few days so when they want, they can, and it's scandalous that these rogues have been robbing us with complete impunity for years!!!
it is March 12, 2013 and the scam continues.... :

Hello Elfie87
You need to block your bank card and request a dispute file from your bank.
Go to the police station to retrieve the letter intended for this purpose.
Send back the file with the details of the disputed amounts to the litigation department of your bank.
You will be reimbursed within 2 to 3 weeks.
