Hello,

I downloaded a movie, which I can watch perfectly with VLC, but then how do I burn it to a DVD to play the movie on my living room DVD player (Sony, which supports .avi or divx files)? I am using Windows XP.

Does VLC only allow you to play videos, or do I need another program to burn it?

Thank you

Configuration: Windows XP / Internet Explorer 7.0

I don’t know if VLC burns, but I would recommend DeepBurner. There are many free burning software on CommentÇaMarche.

Thank you. I also have Windows Media Player, which I believe can burn. The problem is that when I try to play my movie with Windows Media Player, I have sound but no image. So I'm wondering if I burn it with Windows Media Player, will I have the image on my DVD?

      Thanks Guitou!

If you don't have the image, it may be due to a codec issue. If you managed to burn it with WMP, and if your player reads AVI, DivX, etc., you will have the image. But I recommend another burning software. Try this: http://www.nero.com/fra/downloads-nero9-free.php. You need a reliable burning software.
